SURFACE PREPARATION
All joints must be clean dry and fi rm. Remove all foreign materials from grout joints and vacuum tile surface to
remove dust and dirt. The grout joint should be at least 2mm wide and have a minimum depth of 4mm
MIXING
Mechanical mixing is recommended (drill with suitable mixing paddle designed for the task) especially for large volumes. Add all contents of Colourant into Part A and mix thoroughly to ensure full dispersion; then mix by volume 2 parts of Part A with 1 part of Part B. Once liquids are fully blended add powder gradually (approximately 8 parts powder) with constant stirring. Once fully mixed the product should have a semi dry consistency.
APPLICATION
Apply into the grout joints using a cartridge gun or steel trowel. Ensure the joints are totally filled and the ASA Megagrout H.D. is well compacted. Remove excess material by scrapping the perimeter of the grout joint. Do not apply more than what can be cleaned within 20 minutes.
All workmanship must be carried out in accordance with AS3958-2007 and good workmanship practices
COVERAGE
A 10 kg ASA Megagrout H.D. kit will cover approximately 20m2 when grouting 300mm x 300mm tiles with a grout joint width of 4mm. This coverage serves a guide only and may vary with each job. As such coverage estimates are inaccurate. It is advised that comparisons between products are based on the mixed volume.
CLEAN UP
Start cleaning within 20 minutes of application of the ASA Megagrout H.D. using a scouring pad warm water and detergent. Clean residual grout by rubbing the surface of the tile diagonally across the grout joints. To rinse use the same process using a stiff sponge and clean water. Clean mixing equipment and tools with warm water and detergent prior to the grout setting. If a thick layer of ASA Megagrout H.D. is allowed to cure on the tiles or equipment it can be removed by heating and scrapping the affected areas. Thinner layers of residue can be removed with paint stripper.
